Supporting survivors and families of brain injury

Welcome

Headway Darlington & District is your local charity supporting people affected by brain injury. We offer support, advice & education to survivors and their families. Right now, during the Covid-19 pandemic we’ve moved to new premises in Darlington town centre and are providing Covid-19 safe sessions. It’s not been easy and we need your support more than ever.

Our New Hub

We are delighted to announce we have moved into our new modern hub at Business Central Darlington only a few minutes from the town centre. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing with you as we work together to re-build your life after brain injury.

Our Mission

Is to promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury for both individuals and the wider community via support, advice and educational services.

Our Vision

By providing the support, advice and education to our brain injury survivors we hope to improve the outcomes for the individual, the family and the wider society affected by the life changing impact of brain injury.

Brain Injury

Brain injury can happen to anyone at any time and can transform any aspect of a person due to often complex cognitive, behavioural, emotional and physical changes.  It can devastate lives, shatter families and leave people in desperate need of support.  Headway Darlington & District is a local independent charity supporting people affected by brain injury.

Support & Services For Survivors

We offer support and services to survivors and their family, whilst campaigning for greater public awareness and change.  Our vision is to support all affected by brain injury to help them to rebuild their lives

Where?

We  support individuals and families affected by brain injury from Darlington, Dales, Tees Valley and North Yorkshire, from our new premises in Business Central Darlington.
